Fellas if you are like me you don’t read minds but this should help. I’ve come up with a few basic buzz words to be mindful when talking to a woman rather you are friends, cuffin, or loving. Please note each woman comes with her own set of words so feel free to expand on the list.

1) Fine
This is the word women use to end an argument when she knows she is right and you need to shut up or change the topic.

2) Nothing
This always means something and you need to be worried!

3) Go Ahead
This is a dare, not permission. If it’s not really important then you probably shouldn’t do it.

4) Whatever
This is a woman’s way of saying screw you.

5) Relax I Can Do It
This really means I need some help so get off your a$$

6) That’s Ok
This is often used when a woman is thinking long & hard on how & when you will pay for whatever mistake you just made.

Ladies it would be so much simpler if you just said what’s on your mind.
Thanks Management!

If you have been rocking with the Jimmy Quetron Productions blog you’ve seen this topic before CS 2010. However it like most relationship related posts never get old because there is always a new perspective that can be shared. I’m interested in doing a interview with a few 2010 Cuffin Season participants for my next blog. If you are interested please email jqpmarketing@gmail.com.

I noticed a lot of thirst for Cuffin Season this year on my twitter timeline from guys and gals alike, that can only mean the summer boo thangs were subpar or nonexistent. The Cuffin Pre-Season started the day after labor day, and will officially kickoff on October 15th better known as “Sweetest Day”. When the season is over depends heavily on what part of the country you reside in, for Carolina residents it lasts until CIAA weekend in March. The objective for most is to have a short term relationship that ensures someone will be there to keep your belly full, body warm, and accompany you for a holiday gathering or two. Are you ready? Do you have a short list of potential cuffees or cuffers on deck? Nothing is worst then seeing hell of “lonely tweets” on a stormy night. So if you are on your A game and have already set your roster congratulations, but if you are not even close now is the time to panic. As all the five star/blue chip candidates will be off the draft board early. A special request was made for Cuffin Season rules this year so here goes:

Rule no. 1 Establish any and all rules/boundaries on Day 1
I know this rule isn’t that descriptive nor is it intended to be. As your previous cuffin experience or lack there of will dictate how you approach the upcoming season.

Rule no. 2 Be consistent
If you go all out on Sweetest day but fall off by Thanksgiving a midseason trade/roster cut will likely occur.

Rule no. 3 Be prepared to cook
It might be dinner or breakfast depending on your situation but be prepared, always have groceries in your house.

Rule no. 4 Be Presentable
As a cuffee or cuffer you will likely be asked to attend atleast one function during the holiday season. If you would like to potentially return for next season or even extended the current season this is where you do it.

Rule no. 5 K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple Silly
I think this one is self explanatory at the end of the day remember this is a seasonal position.

Good Luck!

The first day of fall was a few days ago so it’s only right that I return to blogging. So much has happened in my personal life and the world since my last piece. There’s so much I could say that I don’t know where to start but here goes.

I can’t believe what the NCAA is doing to the schools who won football championships in the early 2000s. How can they pay coaches millions of dollars while giving the athletes who fill the stadium hardly anything? Yes they get a free education and 15 minutes of fame but they need money to survive. As a student athlete at the highest level you have no opportunity to make money via summer internships like traditional students, due to pre-season conditioning. Furthermore if a student plans to be a professional athlete their contribution to the school serves as an internship and resume to that chosen career field. I don’t know how much the athletes should be compensated but much like the BCS system immediate changes are needed. It puts these 17 – 22 year old men in such a compromising situation.
What really got me is the apparent “partnership” between the NCAA and NFL as it relates to Terrelle Pryor. This young man accepted a 5 game suspension to return and play for Ohio State this season but was dismissed from school. As a result he had to enter the NFL supplemental draft, once drafted the league decided to hold him to the suspension. Really? I just don’t get how he can be kicked out of school and still be liable to fulfill that 5 game penalty. Its not like he broke any NFL rules. Even still I would say he appears to be one of the lucky ones he found a nice team in the Raiders, and will get the opportunity to fulfill his NFL aspirations. We all recall how differently things happen to another former Ohio State player Maurice Clarett when faced with a similar situation.

I intended to touch on several topics in this first post but football was so heavily on the brain that I failed to cover anything else so I’ll be sure to make up for it next week.

Gil Scott-Heron helped lay the groundwork for rap by fusing minimalistic percussion, political expression and spoken-word poetry. On May 27th in New York City at the age of 62, he died shortly after returning from a European trip. His influence on rap was such that he sometimes was referred to as the Godfather of Rap, a title he rejected. Nevertheless, his influence on generations of rappers has been demonstrated through sampling of his recordings by artists, including Kanye West, who closes out the last track of his latest album with a long excerpt of Scott-Heron’s “Who Will Survive in America.”

Gil Scott-Heron recorded the song that would make him famous, The Revolution will not be Televised for the 1970s album “125th and Lenox.”

I got a ton of calls and text messages about part 1 so I didn’t want to rush this post however it did take me a bit longer then I expected anyway its finally complete please read and comment. If you need to reread part 1 click here: Part 1

I discussed with a friend after the first post that attachment is just another word for like. Attached couples are normally together because of what the other has to offer and traditionally stem from the things that first attract you to a person like he/she looks or smells good, drives a nice car, makes you laugh, holds a decent conversation, so many feet tall, etc. Attached individuals start straddling the fence when they help with household bills, get a family cell phone plan, move-in together, etc. I’m sure you’ve heard that you don’t really know a person until you live with them. Is that true? I can’t really say but my Twitter followers and Facebook friends tend to agree.

A wise man once said, “Everyone you meet comes with baggage, find someone who loves you enough to unpack.” That quote just about sums up this post. A couple that loves one another loves unconditionally or as they say flaws in all. They have built on the surface level things that first attracted them to that man or woman transitioning from attachment to love.

- Signing off until next week Jimmy “The Love Doctor” Quetron

I know the summer doesn’t officially start until June but like my birthday I start celebrating a month early. As such I compiled a list of things I enjoy about summer:

1. Days off from work
For most professionals Memorial Day is the first paid Holiday, followed by the 4th of July.

2. Women
I thoroughly enjoy the fact that ladies who live in colder climate cities can get rid of their long coats and boots for nice tight fitting sundress, daisy dukes, or bikini.

3. Festivals
There are more festivals then I can mention in this blog from food to music to cultural and then those just because. My favorite of course is Caribana which takes place in Toronto, Canada for two weeks each year culminating in a huge all day parade.

4. Barbecue
When folks start bringing out the grill every weekend to smoke whatever meat they can get their hands on I know its summer.

5. Water Fights
This probably makes me a big kid but it nothing like riding down the street and surprising somebody with a water balloon or super soaker.

6. Concerts
One of my favorite artists Jay-z has toured every summer for the last 100 years LOL but seriously there are tons of concerts.

7. Summertime
Whenever I hear this classic song released in 1991 by Fresh Prince & Jazzy Jeff its official that summer has arrived.

8. Beaches/Pools
When it’s too hot you can either sit inside or in the nearest body of water. If you are rich or live in apartment you probably have a pool and if that’s not an option you can always drive to the nearest beach.

9. Movies
Every summer you can count on a blockbuster hit being released forcing you to pay $8 or more dollars to view.

10. The Lake Effect
It’s a yacht party coming to Charlotte on May 21st that I have been apart of similar events under different names in both Chicago and Buffalo. Yeah I know shameless plug but this is definitely something you don’t want to miss. There’s nothing like an open bar and good music. Go to www.lakeeffectclt.tumblr.com for details and to purchase tickets.
